The latest version of the award winning Knox Handroid long cuff glove, is the Mk4. Due to its design these are the most striking motorcycle gloves ever made. The design includes features such as the scaphoid protection system as well as the eye catching exo skeleton finger spines which cover the tops of the fingers for impact protection as well as a unique closing system which always ensures a perfect fit.
Now the latest Handroid takes all of these features and refines them. The finger spines are now softer and of a lower, more aerodynamic profile, yet no less effective when it comes to protection. The body of the glove is made from drum dyed Korean leather. This has been chosen for its feel, light weight and strength. Complementing this is 0.8mm kangaroo hide which is used on the palm. While the strength and feel offered by this hide is exceptional it’s still responsibly and ethically sourced.
A new SPS impact system is the most recent development of the Knox patented Scaphoid protection system. This now has Micro-Lock armour incorporated into the design of each slider. Because the BOA® Fit System is so effective the Handroid now no longer needs a second Velcro strap on the wrist. Box construction of the fingers makes for an even more comfortable glove that fits even better than previous models.
The CE testing for the Handroid covers 15 different tests. As a result independent testers have given the gloves a CE EN 13594- 2015 rating. This covers so much including the materials used, the fit, the cut of the glove, its abrasion resistance, the all-important seam and tear strength as well as impact absorption.
Separate tests were conducted for design and construction as well as tests on the materials used. This included checking features as detailed as the pH value of the leather as well as its chromium V1 content. In addition to the sizing dexterity the cadmium content and even the water vapour transmission were also measured. Strength tests included the Handroids’ restraint tear strength, the seam strength, cut resistance, abrasion resistance and, of course the impact resistance and the size of the protective area. The Handroid passes all with flying colours.
The Handroid is available in two sub models, the ‘Long Cuff’ and the short cuff ‘Pod’. The Long cuff is available in four different colours; black, black with white, red or blue. The Pod is available in 2 colours Black and Black/Sand The range of sizes runs from XS all the way to 3XL. The Boa fit system now comes with a lifetime guarantee and the whole glove is CE certified to EN 13594.

BOA® Fit System
Delivering fit solutions purpose-built for performance, the BOA® Fit System consists of three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial, a super-strong lightweight lace and low friction lace guides. The MK IV no longer relies on a secondary retaining wrist strap, but is now a simple 1 step process activated entirely by the BOA® Fit System for a fast, effortless, precision fit.
Metacarpal & Exoskeleton
The striking exoskeleton spines now have a much lower profile, a softer feel and are more aero dynamic than before, yet just as effective.
The metacarpal protector covering the back of the hand houses a gel lining for impact absorption.
Scaphoid Protection System
The new SPS Impact is the latest development of the Knox patented Scaphoid protection system and has the added benefit of MICRO-LOCK impact protection incorporated into the slider.
Kangaroo Palm
Sustainable 0.8mm Kangaroo hide has been selected for its superior strength and enhanced feel on the palm and fingers. By weight, it is still stronger than any other leather. This continues to be sourced from the same Australian family business that have been experts in their field since 1891.

Palm Circumference (A): Palm circumference is the total measurement around the widest part of the palm and over the knuckles. Put the tape around your palm and make a fist, then note the measurement.
Hand Length (B): Measure from your wrist crease to the end of your middle finger.
Measure your hand length and width and choose size the closest to your measurements. This should fit your hand correctly. If your hand fits one measure but not the 2nd, or if you prefer a looser fit, we would advise choosing the next size up.

I ordered the gloves according to the size table on the Internet. My size is between L and XL. Since leather normally stretches a bit, I ordered L.
The part with the palm is still a bit tight at the moment. But the tunnel on the wrist is almost impassable because it is cut too tight. I hope the glove will widen here too. Otherwise it's a great piece and it would be a shame if I couldn't wear it. In size XL, the fingers are too long, which affects the operation of the controls.
The Boa tightening wheel around my wrist provides a secure feeling too, helping me dial in before going out on the road or preparing for a race. I've crash tested these gloves a few times, the scaphoid protection works extremely well. Buy these gloves if you value quality and safety in your motorcycle wear.
I'll update after I have a chance to get out and circumnavigate Mt. Rainier for 5 hours, or do the North Cascade Loop/Wenatchee/Leavenworth/Seattle route for 9 hours

Sizing runs a little small. I wear an XL in Joe Rocket and Scorpion and picked up a 2XL and my hand fits snug. Just realize you need to have decently long fingers to fill out that size glove. Nothing needs to be said about how awesome they look...All around fantastic gloves! An investment no doubt, but fingers and wrists are worth keeping intact.
I expect this pain to dissapear with more use because i like them too much...
The built quality and fit are excellent, and the stitching is perfect.
The Boa system works very well and easy to get used to.
Hand mobility is easier than expected, given the hand support on the back of the gloves.
I expect that the gloves will stretch over time as they get worn, and I may be able to fit the Cold Killers (M size) inners for winter.
My hand measured 230cm, so I bought the large (245cm), and the glove fits snuggly, so buying the bigger size - as recommended by Knox - must be heeded.
I look forward to my first ride to get a complete picture of their performance and comfort on the bike.

Looking forward to breaking the gloves in this season and picking up more Knox goodies.
The most important part for me is the scaphoid protection (I broke my scaphoid before and it sucks), apart from that the kangaroo leather is top notch for abrasion resistance and the exoskeleton is revolutionary protection system.
Let’s not forget the BOA system for tightening the gloves that is more convenient to use that the traditional Velcro.
All in all those gloves are the best investment for hand protection!

I can't comment on the crash protection yet as I haven't fallen off while but im sure they will work fine.
I just lowsided in these gloves and not only did they save me from rash/a broken wrist, they are barely scuffed up. I bet I could crash in these 10 more times before needing to replace them.
Needless to say, Handroids are the only glove I want to wear. I recommend them to everyone. You will not be disappointed with these gloves!

I research all of the high end brands and their flagship gloves and decided I needed to try on some.
The handroids fit perfectly and the kangaroo palm allows you to feel more connected to the bike and there is no restriction from the Exo skeleton design.
I could right an endless review on how good these are but I would advise anyone looking to actually try them on and purchase them.

They looked almost like a bionic extension to my arm which gave a confidence in them that I didnt feel with my old gloves. It helps I guess that they look like they will live up to the expectations I have for them. The armour on the fingers is so unobtrusive that you don't even remember it is there when the gloves are on, and the adjustable gauntlet makes them incredibly comfortable whilst keeping the protection in place. The wrist action is totally free from obstruction and the kangaroo palm gives fantastic feedback. The small vent holes are good but I would perhaps like them to give a bit more airflow on the hotest days.
All in all, I would recommend these gloves to any rider and will buy more of the same when I need to replace them.

I would not wear any other gloves at the TT or other street circuits. The external armor on the fingers provides better protection than anything else on the market. I actually had a broken finger from a stone kicked up by a bike in front of me at the TT 4 years ago...while wearing a lesser brands glove. Ever since then I only wear Handroids as they would've saved me from that simple yet frustrating injury!
The Handroids hold up over multiple crashes and protect your hands in every instance. On top of that they are comfortable from the first time you slide them on and I have found them to not need to be broken in.

When you put on the glove for the first time you think it's massive. The bulk of the glove gets you and you think it's going to be one of those uncomfortable heavy, cumbersome gloves. AS SOON as the glove hits the handlebars your worries are over! The Kangaroo skin palm molds to the hand and actually INCREASES the feeling you have with the handlebars.
The bad:
* The little finger isn't tied to the next finger like you see in the pro glove (to prevent the little finger doesn't get snapped back).
* The actual support for each finger SHOULD be restricted when bending back so that you cant over extend your fingers.

I was in a coma for almost 1 month and considered a fatal accident by the police investigating until 1 week after I came out of the coma. My hands and wrists had no injury at all, I slid down the road and the scaphoid ‘savers’ did their job very well. I fully believe these gloves have saved me from very serious injury.

First off, I’m very happy with these gloves. Luckily I’ve never crashed in them, but I’ve seen how well they protect other crashes. My hands are essential to how I make my living, so I decided to spend top dollar protecting them. The Handroids are very comfortable, they fit perfectly and allow full range of movement and most importantly I feel safer in these gloves than I’ve ever felt wearing any other.
Last week they got put to the test. I went down going around a turn at about 105mph. I low sided because of some gravel, slid across the road, across the gravel, and flew into a ditch which then turned into a corn field. And my hands came out perfectly! Without even a scratch, bruise, burn etc. I did mess up my left knee, my back and my left thigh since they weren’t covered by something that Knox makes! Way to make one damn amazing product. I bought my Knox Handroid gloves shortly after their release. They have outlasted all the other gloves i previously had including Arlen-ness and Alpinestars. They are robust enough for daily use with the only weak point being the white plastic knuckle shields, although i know from experience these can be bought seperate and replaced. My only real gripe is the lack of colour choice, when i bought mine blue and white was an option that no longer seems to be in the range which is a shame. I would love to see some yellow Fluo ones etc.
