Knox Honister Motorcycle Armoured Shirt for Men Class AAA-Rated.
The Highest Performance and pinnacle of the Knox Armoured shirt collection

First invented by the brand in the 1990s, Knox armoured shirts and jackets are at the very heart of the Knox collection and the Honister Armoured Shirt is the new pinnacle.  Wearing a close-fitting armoured shirt is the best way to protect a rider, since the armour is comfortably held in the right place when you need it.

Making the Honister Armoured Shirt was a tough development journey.  It required entirely new strong mesh fabrics, since the goal was to develop the highest Class AAA breathable armoured garment that could be used for warm weather riding, aimed at riders who require the best performance.

Achieving CE approval to Class AAA is no small achievement.  AAA is the highest class for a motorcycle protective garment and is usually only attained by one- and two-piece leather suits.

The most discreet, low profile Knox body armour can be found in the Honister armoured shirt.

The shirt is fitted with new Micro-Lock Compact, the most progressive protection from Knox, with advances in all key areas. Up to 60% lighter, thinner and more supple for all day comfort.

Micro-Lock Compact is engineered to move easily with the body when riding and has excellent form recovery.

A patented Flex and Adapt, side closure system, opens and closes naturally and gives uninhibited movement. The closure system also provides unbroken coverage, ensuring the rider remains protected at all times.

The Micro-Lock Compact Level 2 shoulders and elbows are approved to EN 1621-1:2012 L2 and a Level 2 back protector is approved to EN 1621-2: 2014. The protectors are guaranteed for five years when registered.

The Honister Jacket has been designed from the ground up.  This includes everything, from the way it is tailored and cut to the way the fabrics perform.  Construction has been carefully developed to be as comfortable in the harshest of environments as it would be on a gentle spin in the country.  Extra attention to detail completes the style and the AAA qualifying technical CE standard to EN 17092 -2:2020 Class AAA, is highlighted on the jacket.

Developing new mesh fabrics which deliver the ultimate strength and resilience needed has been achieved without losing any breathability.  Blending this with the hardest wearing stretch polyamide, riders can be confident in the protective qualities of the Honister Jacket in all environments.

All the zips in the Honister jackets are by YKK.  There are two zipped side pockets and one zipped large back pocket.

Detailing continues with discreet Knox branding on the front hem as well as on the back. The new branded badge on the sleeve comes with a reflective surround, complimented by strips which are only visible at night on the back.  Thumb loops are found on the cuffs for added security, while an improved security belt loop system is fitted on the inside so that riders can secure their trousers to the jacket.  Even the collar has a soft interior for comfort around the neck.

The Honister is available in no fewer than eight sizes from S – 5XL.  It’s also part of the Knox Seasonless Collection.  With this collection there is no spring, summer, autumn, or winter wear. Instead, riders have one hardworking layered ensemble.  This outfit has the armoured shirt at its core.  It can then be adapted to suit all weather conditions by either adding or removing layers. The Knox Seasonless Collection is adaptable, sustainable, and protective.

Great piece which stretches with movement where you need it but maintains armor placement when you do. I’m 5’10, 178lbs and the large fits perfectly. It looks great on its own and I like the flexibility to layer as needed. The thumb retention works without being intrusive while wearing gloves. I would highly recommend

Comfortable flexible and secure feeling. Not bulky for AAA rating. Well designed and good enough looking to be worn on its own (once the weather takes up!)

I find the fit tight similar to my Schwabenleder two pice but with a super flexibility. Looking forward to be worn in warm and hot weather .

I’ve never owned a mesh jacket and now wish I’d bought one years ago. The Honister is a close fitting jacket that whilst lightweight (compared to a normal armoured jacket) feels secure and very robust. The fit is great although it would be even better if you could adjust the waist of the jacket as its slightly loose, secondly it would be good if there was a chest pocket for your phone – but this might interfere with a chest protector if used.

I have nine jackets (I know!) but the Honister became my firm favourite the moment I bought it. Wonderful quality and finish, and I love the sense of confidence it provides due to being a nice snug fit.

On the subject of fit, I usually take a medium but went up to a large in this, given the number of XLs there are in the range. I have a 41 chest and 35 waist, and it’s perfect.

In comparison to the Zephyr Pro which I’ve been using for the last 2 yrs it is amazing the softer fabric around neck and wrist feel great. But aswell once again just like the Zephyr Pro it is gonna take a good month or so of riding and 1 or 2 rain rides for the stretchy material to fully adjust to arms and chest and waist. But I was also under the impression that it would come with the chest protector like the Zephyr Pro did. But all and all it is an amazing jacket

This armoured shirt is a close fitting garment, but it’s meant to be, that way the Micro Lock armour stays where it’s needed when it’s needed most – during an un scheduled dismount. The shirt is well made and feels the premium product it is. Using Class 2 armour (except for the chest) it gives the best protection available on the market today. The AAA rating gives you a sence of security while still being flexible and very comfortable, even on hot days. Highly recommend this shirt.

My second time buying a Knox armor shirt this time I see the improvement from 5 years ago, it’s very impressive and perfectly price for such a height quality product.

Note: my first was an Urban pro for the Middle East hot summers that reaches up 50c for weeks is perfect functional and pretty much looks like new! Heavily ridden in extreme conditions

Recent purchase and am very pleased with it, the jacket is great quality and well made.
Armour is well positioned for me and does not move around.
I hauled have to say this is good value and money well spent.
