The Urbane Pro Mk3, the latest and most advanced version of Knox’s popular armoured shirt, is a versatile and essential piece of gear for any rider.  With its close-fitting design, the armour stays in place, providing optimal protection without movement.  The Urbane Pro Mk3 is CE approved as a standalone “Class AA” garment, meaning that it has been certified as both impact and abrasion resistant, and can be worn on its own without the need for an outer shell.

The Mk3 is packed with features, including lighter and more flexible Level 2 Micro-Lock Compact armour in the back,  shoulders and elbows, as well as practical zipped pockets on the front, an internal chest phone pocket, a visor wipe, and even an ear plug storage pocket.  The neck and cuffs have been updated with a soft and comfortable binding, and there’s a front placket with embossed branding for added comfort and style. Reflective piping and improved security belt loops complete the design.

The Urbane Pro Mk3 is designed to be worn in hot weather on its own, or in changing weather conditions with additional warm or waterproof layers from the Knox Seasonless Collection. It’s the perfect core layer, providing both abrasion and armour protection.

My jacket arrived very quickly and was nicely packaged; it comes with a quality hanger. The materials are especially good quality, the fit is very good, and it looks absolutely cool. The concept is great and I’m certain I’ll be wearing it a lot, but there are a few things I’d change if I were on your design team. First, there’s a microfiber cloth attached to a cord on an outer pocket. It’s a good idea, but if you reach into the pocket for anything else, the cord comes out and I’ve spent time fumbling with it to get it tucked back in. I’m going to cut it off. Second, there’s an inside chest pocket for a phone . I like this location for a phone pocket because I’m not one that uses a handlebar phone mount. Unfortunately, the phone pocket has a Velcro closure across the top and is difficult to use. I have a BILT jacket with the pocket in the same location and it’s zippered vertically and very easy to use. I would make this change TODAY if I were on the Knox team. There are loops in the back that are intended to somehow integrate with your belt. I’m certain that I’ll never use these. The jacket doesn’t ride up, and these look like they’d be difficult to use. They might work for a motocross person, but I can’t see a daily street rider ever attaching a jacket to their pants.
The jacket is beautiful. I got the copper black, and I know I’ll get lots of use out of it. I hope the designers consider these changes. Ditch the microfiber cloth and cord, make the phone pocket with a vertical zipper instead of horizontal Velcro, and lose the belt loops.

I received the new Urban pro shirt Mk3 which I had on back order, and have to say it is fantastic. It fits perfectly, if not a little tight round the tummy, but that’s my fault!
I have been out a couple of times wearing it, once with just a hoody over it, and once with a Barbour short jacket, in case it rained. Both trips very comfortable.
Build quality is superb, but I would have preferred a slightly higher/softer neck fit, but that is just personal taste.
I wished I had it a few years ago when I did a long trip down through Spain in very hot temperatures!

I went up a size, as is normal on biking clothing, and it was spot on. Looks good on as well, the reason i gave it 4*, is because i haven’t worn it yet due to typical British summer.

Bought this jacket for the high temperatures in Spain. While all other ‘ventilated’ ones fail, this one does the job! Nice and well thought detailing. Price is not cheap but it is the best for ventilation and it’s a joy to ride in.

One of my favorite riding garments, perfect in every way. I did the MABDR and a couple of sections of the CABDR, the Urbane was so comfortable and afforded me flexibility of layering up or dress down.

Thank you Knox for such an amazing piece of gear, ah, and by the way the customer service was exceptional.

I was on the hunt for a new ventilated riding jacket that ticked all the safety boxes and looks cool to wear year-round, as living on the Gold Coast, Australia, winter can literally be a moment in time opposed to a season. Checked out the promotional video on YouTube, jumped online ticked all the boxes ordering the jacket immediately as the concept of layering made perfect sense for the riding conditions in my area, and four days later I had notification from UPS my package had arrived! Bolted home ripped the packaging apart like a kid on Xmas day and went for a ride wearing my new jacket to check it out, must admit the first ride I felt as thou I wasn’t wearing a jacket as the ventilation is awesome in comparison to my other ‘ventilated’ jackets. The jacket looks really good in Copper/Black, impressed with the minimal branding, generous back armor size, quality of the seams, zippers, back length, overall comfort and being a tall bloke 6’4″, online sizing can be a bit hit and miss, however the sizing as per the size chart is great, sleeve length and overall fit are both optimal with very comfortable armor. Ventilation performance of this jacket is great, in comparison to my other summer ventilated jacket this is on another level for comfort, the CE AA rating I will have to take their word as not about to throw it down the road to confirm either way. Overall, I am very impressed with this purchase and feel the jacket is very good value for the coin, the quality of the product is excellent, delivery – wow blown away four days from UK is awesome, as struggle to get stuff from other capitals in that time, and even the provided coat hanger is on another level. Initial impression this is a great bit of riding kit which will assist in providing a more comfortable riding experience all year round.
