The Aegis Back Protector from Knox is a best-selling Level 2 back protector with the largest coverage of protection over the back.  Combining honeycomb technology with a tough outer shell, the Aegis allows for total freedom of movement, making it the perfect back protector for riders on track.  It has the benefit of a removable machine washable liner for continued freshness and is available in 6 sizes for men and women.  An optional Micro-Lock chest protector can be easily added.

The Aegis Back Protector from Knox is CE certified to the Motorcycle Back Protector Standard EN1621-2:2014 Level 2.  Not only that but it also passes tests in a temperature range between +40C and -20C.  This makes it suitable for extreme high and low temperatures.  It is, therefore, a multi activity back protector not just for motorcyclists but also for those who enjoy other sports including snowboarding, mountain biking and skiing.

Maximum coverage is ensured thanks to its flexible sliding spine protection which moves freely over the shock absorbing honeycomb.  Meanwhile, thanks to the open cell technology, the Aegis allows the wearer to stay cool thanks to its superior air ventilation system.

A multi position waist strap system gives the wearer the best fit while extra EVA foam on the inside adds to the Aegis back protector’s performance.  A set of extra side adjustment straps give a more secure fit against the spine.  The soft shoulder straps have a quick release system and can cross over for increased comfort.  They also provide the fitting system for an optional Knox Chest protector.

Its removable breathable, machine washable liner is made from spacer fabric for extra air flow.  The low-profile design has been built to be lightweight and breathable, but without any loss of performance.  The kidney armour is removable and there is extra coccyx protection available on the eight-plate Race option.

Knox has the largest choice of sizes to fit both women and men.  These sizes are measured in relation to torso length.  It is, therefore, important to measure the torso length.  There are two sizes for the ladies starting with five plates and a length of 400mm and three for men with an additional from 475mm with 7 plates to 525mm with 9 plates.  All are available in black.  Download a Knox back protector measurement guide to select the correct size.
