La dernière version du gant Knox Handroid Pod primé est le Mk 4. Grâce à son design, il s'agit des gants de moto les plus remarquables jamais fabriqués. Le design comprend des caractéristiques telles que le système de protection du scaphoïde ainsi que les épines des doigts exo-squelettes qui couvrent le dessus des doigts pour la protection contre les impacts, ainsi qu'un système de fermeture unique qui assure toujours un ajustement parfait.
Le dernier Handroid Pod reprend toutes ces caractéristiques et les affine. Les épines des doigts sont désormais plus souples et présentent un profil plus bas et plus aérodynamique, mais n'en sont pas moins efficaces en termes de protection. Le corps du gant est fabriqué en cuir coréen teinté dans la masse. Ce cuir a été choisi pour son toucher, sa légèreté et sa résistance. Il est complété par une peau de kangourou de 0,8 mm d'épaisseur, utilisée sur la paume. Si cette peau offre une résistance et un toucher exceptionnels, elle provient d'une source responsable et éthique.
Le nouveau système d'impact SPS est l'évolution la plus récente du système de protection du scaphoïde breveté par Knox. Il intègre désormais une armure Micro-Lock dans la conception de chaque coulisseau.
Une collaboration avec BOA pour améliorer le système de fermeture du poignet a abouti à un système d'ajustement à cadran qui est plus bas dans le profil et est un système simple à cadran en 1 étape qui est beaucoup plus confortable et sûr. Le brassard lui-même n'est pas encombrant et peut être porté à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur de la manche de la plupart des vestes.
La construction en boîte des doigts permet d'obtenir un gant encore plus confortable qui s'ajuste encore mieux que les modèles précédents.
Les tests CE pour le Handroid couvrent 15 tests différents. En conséquence, des testeurs indépendants ont attribué aux gants la norme CE EN 13594. Cette norme couvre de nombreux aspects, notamment les matériaux utilisés, l'ajustement, la coupe du gant, sa résistance à l'abrasion, la très importante résistance des coutures et des déchirures, ainsi que l'absorption des chocs.
Des tests distincts ont été effectués pour la conception et la construction, ainsi que pour les matériaux utilisés. Des caractéristiques aussi détaillées que le pH du cuir et sa teneur en chrome V1 ont été vérifiées. Outre la dextérité de la taille, la teneur en cadmium et même la transmission de la vapeur d'eau ont également été mesurées. Les tests de résistance ont porté sur la résistance à la déchirure, la résistance des coutures, la résistance à la coupure, la résistance à l'abrasion et, bien sûr, la résistance à l'impact et la taille de la zone de protection. Le Handroid a passé tous ces tests avec brio.
Le Handroid Pod est disponible en deux couleurs élégantes : noir et noir/sable. La gamme de tailles va de S à 3XL.

BOA® Système d'ajustement
Le BOA® Fit System est composé de trois parties intégrales : un cadran micro-ajustable, un lacet léger super résistant et des guides de lacet à faible friction. La MK IV ne dépend plus d'un bracelet de maintien secondaire, mais est maintenant un processus simple en 1 étape activé entièrement par le BOA® Fit System pour un ajustement rapide, sans effort et de précision.
Métacarpe et exosquelette
Les épines frappantes de l'exosquelette ont maintenant un profil beaucoup plus bas, une sensation plus douce et sont plus aérodynamiques qu'auparavant, tout en étant aussi efficaces.
Le protecteur métacarpien couvrant le dos de la main contient une doublure en gel pour l'absorption des chocs.
Système de protection du scaphoïde
Le nouveau SPS Impact est le dernier développement du système de protection du scaphoïde breveté par Knox et présente l'avantage supplémentaire de la protection contre les chocs MICRO-LOCK incorporée dans la glissière.

Circonférence de la paume (A) : La circonférence de la paume est la mesure totale autour de la partie la plus large de la paume et au-dessus des articulations. Placez le ruban autour de votre paume et serrez le poing, puis notez la mesure.
Longueur de la main (B) : Mesurez la distance entre le pli de votre poignet et l'extrémité de votre majeur.
Mesurez la longueur et la largeur de votre main et choisissez la taille la plus proche de vos mesures. Cette taille devrait convenir à votre main. Si votre main s'adapte à une mesure mais pas à la seconde, ou si vous préférez une coupe plus ample, nous vous conseillons de choisir la taille supérieure.

There has never been a glove that gives such an amazingly high level of protection combined with such an incredible amount of feel… Kangaroo skin palms mean the leather can be thin enough to give the feel needed to exercise fine throttle and handbrake control on the stuntbike, but also is extremely resistant to the inevitable abrasion when I bail off!

I wear Handroids for street and for racing too, but crashed on the street taking a high-side after bad road conditions at 120 km/h. Couldn’t hold rear wheel, it woooobbbled and in next moment the bike strayed across on road, ejected me and my wife and in next second we are in the air. My wife also has Handroid gloves, short type (Pod). She also has no injury, took only small bruises on index finder under a nail. Gloves are still in good condition, no tears or cracks. I also replaced all stock armor in jacket and pant’s to KNOX!

Awesome pair of gloves, perfect for summer riding. The small ventilation holes on the palm/fingers keep your hands cool. Grip is spot on. In terms of sizing they are a bit tight at first but with all leather gloves they soon loosen up. Thankfully not had to test the crash protection yet!

Owned the same pair of Handroids for about 3 years now. Been down in them at speed 3X now and they have been extremely durable. Only now after this third time down did one of the finger stitching blow out. Palm stitching and everything else is still very well in tact.

Brilliant pair of gloves. They fit beautifully, I took the advice of measuring my ‘fist’ as shown in your Measurement Guide and going up to the next size.
The thumb length is spot on too, tiny amount of space in it but much more comfortable than being tight and trying to stretch the material.
The gloves are very well made and do move with your hands, not stiff at all.
I was hoping they would be a nice pair when I ordered them and I wasn’t disappointed when they arrived and wore them for the first time.
The service was excellent too, arrived very quickly.

Yes they are expensive, but you will never regret buying them.
Although they are a lot shorter than the full size handroid gloves there is still more than enough cuff to go under, and stay under, your jacket sleeve.
These are the best non winter gloves I’ve used.

Can’t do a long term review cause I’ve only had them a few hundred km, but these are great. The protection on them seems fab, though I hope I never have to use it the exoskeleton and the SPS system inspire confidence and are not at all restrictive as you might think on first glance.
The gloves are comfortable and have a great feel to them, and look incredibly cyberpunk which goes well with my Vitpilen 701. As a street glove you might imagine the extra bulk to be a problem, but besides the bulk in the Boa system (see below) I find it totally comfortable.
I do have some gripes entirely to do with the closure system, but I must stress that they’re SUPER minor and not enough to take any stars off.
Boa closures on a short glove make very little sense to me, compared to say, as compared to replacing laces on a shoe. It probably makes more sense on the gauntlet version rather than the Pod, I’d imagine. It’s a bit bulky and is impossible to wear a watch comfortably under. The bulk makes it hard to do up one of my (admittedly fairly tight) leather jackets around the glove, so I have to just zip my jacket as far as it will go. (My Knox textile jacket is fine with it, no surprise.) It also, if you tilt your wrist fully back, bumps into the armour over the glove. That has *never* been a problem when riding, just an observation. I probably would prefer Velcro in a short-glove application, though.
That said the Boa system feels very sturdy and I imagine will last as long as the life of the glove, so that’s a plus.
Is it enough to fault the glove? No. The protection and comfort are well worth it.
Oh I should say that in addition to everything I had a problem with another pair of Knox gloves (not these) and customer service was top notch, even all the way from Canada they were incredibly responsive and dealt with my concerns. So I’m gonna be continuing to buy Knox gear.

This was my first set of gloves as I wanted to have the best, and safest. Unparalleled SPS, knuckle protection with shock absorbing backing, and full finger outer ribs for protection coupled with multi-layer, full leather construction. No compromises. The Tiger tank of gloves for 2.5 season riding…stretched into early Spring and late Fall if you have heated grips as there is no lining. I wear a “medium” very consistently. These were quite stiff and tight at first requiring several hours of break in time with some hair dryer heating to assist…a positive thing. As a retired Marine, I’m not a “comfort shoe” or “comfort glove” guy as these items are half worn out when you get them and invariably become too loose with a lack a support. You make these gloves your own. They pay you back with firm, snug, yet flexible protection that provides good tactile feedback. My Japanese colleagues gasped at the rugged, aggressive look…perhaps the most satisfying thing of all. Buy these. You won’t regret it.

The thumb is rather long, I’ve never had a glove with a long thumb like I do with this one. Other than the long thumb, great glove

I expected the metacarpal armour plate and exoskeleton to make this glove uncomfortably stiff, and was pleasantly surprised when they were not uncomfortable at all in that aspect. The exoskeleton plate also acts like dead air space insulation so they don’t heat up like my previous summer gloves, and the plate also acts as an air scoop to prevent sweaty hands.
I was disappointed that the index finger on my gloves was too short for comfort, so after 3-4 hours of riding my fingertips feel bruised. The BOA system is great (no more hair and fiber clogging a Velcro strap), but I have small wrists so it bunches the leather uncomfortably unless I coax it into several pleat-like folds as I tighten the BOA. I still prefer the BOA over Velcro, but it is a minor inconvenience to adjust it for my small wrist.
