The MAX is a men’s long sleeve top and is part of the Knox Dry Inside Dual Active Base Layer Collection. It is a sports fit, cut for maximum performance.
The Melange fabric is finished with HYDROCOOL® and SILVERPLUS® for enhanced wicking, drying and anti-bacterial properties. The result is an extremely comfortable, close fitting base layer with impressive levels of breathability, moisture management, odour resistance and overall comfort for the active wearer.

Adding a performance first layer to your Seasonless ensemble makes a huge difference to comfort. The Max Long Sleeved Top is designed to keep the rider cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This is due to the clever use of a soft Melange fabric with technical finishes, Hydrocool® and Silverplus® which give the top enhanced wicking and drying properties, while also providing antibacterial protection. The result is a next to skin level of comfort that is second to none.
This soft Melange fabric allows an armoured shirt or jacket to simply slide on and off and it stops any sticky unpleasantness in the heat, thus allowing the wearer to get on with the pleasant business of riding a motorcycle without distraction. Even the seams are flat locked for comfort which is complemented by the Max’s relaxed sports cut. Like the rest of the active base layers in the range this is machine washable and dries quickly.
The men’s cut is available in six sizes, from S – 3XL

Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest and your shoulder blades.
Waist: To work out your size, measure your waist in the position your trousers usually sit. As a guide this is roughly 5-6cm below your belly button.

Great base layer, light, and comfortable and just right when moving out of my Merino layers after winter. Only four stars as after a year of ownership with moderate use. The overlock stitching at the rear of the waistband is coming adrift.

As per Riche’s comment, I have owned a set of Max Duel Active Base Layers for almost a year. An average amount of use, let’s say on average eight days a month over nine months of the year. Merino base layers are normally used December to March. The overlock stitching is coming away which is a pity as otherwise the garments are great and very comfortable. I take two sets on a tour and a set will easily dry overnight after being washed out.

As I have come to expect from Knox this is another top quality garment. I used this through the ‘23 riding season under my Urbane Pro 3 in good weather and a textile jacket in the cold/wet. In all situations I got to my destination feeling fresh. It works exactly as it should, what more can you ask for?!

(verified owner)Firstly the material feels really good against the skin and is very light. They are comfortable and do exactly as the advent says … takes body moisture away from the skin. I have only worn them on a couple of occasions for a few hours each time but am really impressed with the comfort, you really don’t notice them. I went for a medium size (usually a medium in tops and bottoms) being a 42” chest and they fit is great with a bit of room, had I gone for the large top they would have been to big. I am a 31 waist with 31 leg, … I went for the medium in bottoms and again they fit great .
