The challenge for Knox has always been to continuously improve, innovate and develop products and with the Handroid MK IV, to make the new glove design exciting and accessible to urban riders as well as sports riders.
The result is a totally new sleek and modern short cuff motorcycle glove, which is available in 2 new stunning colours.
The striking exoskeleton spines now have a much lower profile, a softer feel and are more aero dynamic than before, yet just as effective.
All high points have been replaced by smooth slick mouldings made in strong but soft TPU, with a metacarpal protector covering the back of the hand which houses a gel lining for impact absorption.
The handroid still uses only the very highest quality materials.
Lightweight 0.8mm drum dyed leather from Korea chosen for its lightweight, strength and supple hand feel. Sustainable 0.8mm Kangaroo has been selected for its superior strength and enhanced feel on the palm and fingers as it is, weight for weight, stronger than any other leather. This continues to be sourced from the same Australian family business that have been experts in their field since 1891.
The new SPS Impact is the latest development of the Knox patented Scaphoid protection system and has the added benefit of MICRO-LOCK impact protection under the slider.
The short cuff is constructed in soft cowhide and fits comfortably over the wrist.
The continued collaboration with BOA® to improve the fit around the wrist has resulted in the integration of a new dial platform that is lower in profile and can be activated in one simple step. The result is fast, effortless precision fit that delivers improved security and performance without compromising comfort.
The cuff itself can be worn inside or outside the sleeve of most jackets.
Fit and comfort have been significantly improved with a box construction of the fingers, making this the most comfortable Handroid ever.

BOA® Fit System

Palm Circumference (A): Palm circumference is the total measurement around the widest part of the palm and over the knuckles. Put the tape around your palm and make a fist, then note the measurement.
Hand Length (B): Measure from your wrist crease to the end of your middle finger.
Measure your hand length and width and choose size the closest to your measurements. This should fit your hand correctly. If your hand fits one measure but not the 2nd, or if you prefer a looser fit, we would advise choosing the next size up.

Can't do a long term review cause I've only had them a few hundred km, but these are great. The protection on them seems fab, though I hope I never have to use it the exoskeleton and the SPS system inspire confidence and are not at all restrictive as you might think on first glance.
The gloves are comfortable and have a great feel to them, and look incredibly cyberpunk which goes well with my Vitpilen 701. As a street glove you might imagine the extra bulk to be a problem, but besides the bulk in the Boa system (see below) I find it totally comfortable.
I do have some gripes entirely to do with the closure system, but I must stress that they're SUPER minor and not enough to take any stars off.
Boa closures on a short glove make very little sense to me, compared to say, as compared to replacing laces on a shoe. It probably makes more sense on the gauntlet version rather than the Pod, I'd imagine. It's a bit bulky and is impossible to wear a watch comfortably under. The bulk makes it hard to do up one of my (admittedly fairly tight) leather jackets around the glove, so I have to just zip my jacket as far as it will go. (My Knox textile jacket is fine with it, no surprise.) It also, if you tilt your wrist fully back, bumps into the armour over the glove. That has *never* been a problem when riding, just an observation. I probably would prefer Velcro in a short-glove application, though.
That said the Boa system feels very sturdy and I imagine will last as long as the life of the glove, so that's a plus.
Is it enough to fault the glove? No. The protection and comfort are well worth it.
Oh I should say that in addition to everything I had a problem with another pair of Knox gloves (not these) and customer service was top notch, even all the way from Canada they were incredibly responsive and dealt with my concerns. So I'm gonna be continuing to buy Knox gear.

Yes they are expensive, but you will never regret buying them.
Although they are a lot shorter than the full size handroid gloves there is still more than enough cuff to go under, and stay under, your jacket sleeve.
These are the best non winter gloves I've used.
The thumb length is spot on too, tiny amount of space in it but much more comfortable than being tight and trying to stretch the material.
The gloves are very well made and do move with your hands, not stiff at all.
I was hoping they would be a nice pair when I ordered them and I wasn't disappointed when they arrived and wore them for the first time.
The service was excellent too, arrived very quickly.
Highly impressed and would recommend the gloves to anyone that might be interested in them. Get them bought. 10/10
