The design includes features such as the scaphoid protection system as well as the eye catching exo skeleton finger spines which cover the tops of the fingers for impact protection as well as a unique closing system which always ensures a perfect fit.
Now the latest Handroid takes all of these features and refines them. The finger spines are now softer and of a lower, more aerodynamic profile, yet no less effective when it comes to protection. The body of the glove is made from drum dyed Korean leather. This has been chosen for its feel, light weight and strength. Complementing this is 0.8mm kangaroo hide which is used on the palm. A new SPS impact system is the most recent development of the Knox patented Scaphoid protection system. This now has Micro-Lock armour incorporated into the design of each slider. Because the BOA® Fit System is so effective the Handroid now no longer needs a second Velcro strap on the wrist. Box construction of the fingers makes for an even more comfortable glove that fits even better than previous models.
The CE testing for the Handroid covers 15 different tests. As a result independent testers have given the gloves a CE EN 13594- 2015 rating. This covers so much including the materials used, the fit, the cut of the glove, its abrasion resistance, the all-important seam and tear strength as well as impact absorption.
Separate tests were conducted for design and construction as well as tests on the materials used. This included checking features as detailed as the pH value of the leather as well as its chromium V1 content. In addition to the sizing dexterity the cadmium content and even the water vapour transmission were also measured. Strength tests included the Handroids’ restraint tear strength, the seam strength, cut resistance, abrasion resistance and, of course the impact resistance and the size of the protective area. The Handroid passes all with flying colours.
The Handroid is available in two sub models, the ‘Long Cuff’ and the short cuff ‘Pod’. The Long cuff is available in four different colours; black, black with white, red or blue. The Pod is available in 2 colours Black and Black/Sand The range of sizes runs from XS all the way to 3XL. The Boa fit system now comes with a lifetime guarantee and the whole glove is CE certified to EN 13594.

BOA® Fit System
Delivering fit solutions purpose-built for performance, the BOA® Fit System consists of three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial, a super-strong lightweight lace and low friction lace guides. The MK IV no longer relies on a secondary retaining wrist strap, but is now a simple 1 step process activated entirely by the BOA® Fit System for a fast, effortless, precision fit.
Metacarpal & Exoskeleton
The striking exoskeleton spines now have a much lower profile, a softer feel and are more aero dynamic than before, yet just as effective.
The metacarpal protector covering the back of the hand houses a gel lining for impact absorption.
Scaphoid Protection System
The new SPS Impact is the latest development of the Knox patented Scaphoid protection system and has the added benefit of MICRO-LOCK impact protection incorporated into the slider.
Kangaroo Palm

Palm Circumference (A): Palm circumference is the total measurement around the widest part of the palm and over the knuckles. Put the tape around your palm and make a fist, then note the measurement.
Hand Length (B): Measure from your wrist crease to the end of your middle finger.
Measure your hand length and width and choose size the closest to your measurements. This should fit your hand correctly. If your hand fits one measure but not the 2nd, or if you prefer a looser fit, we would advise choosing the next size up.

Hi Guys and Gals,
I bought my Knox Handroid gloves shortly after their release. They have outlasted all the other gloves i previously had including Arlen-ness and Alpinestars. They are robust enough for daily use with the only weak point being the white plastic knuckle shields, although i know from experience these can be bought seperate and replaced. My only real gripe is the lack of colour choice, when i bought mine blue and white was an option that no longer seems to be in the range which is a shame. I would love to see some yellow Fluo ones etc.

These are the gloves everybody asks about the most, and just one look at them tells you why. Be assured, this kind of thing is the future and not just for gloves. Plenty of manufacturers are looking at this technology and many have been playing with it already. Knox beat them all to the post, though. Beautifully built and hardy for track gloves they’re not even the most expensive here. Plus the wrist closure system is utter genius, unlike Velcro it should never get tired and it also locks to your wrist in a way that makes you feel secure. Knox has used nothing but the best, so for a first effort, they’re frankly incredible. They’re that good that racers have been asking to wear them without expecting pay. That alone should tell you what you need to know about the Handroid.

I landed front first onto my hands and chest and slid for a good 150 yards on asphalt, before rolling in the gravel. Amazingly, the gloves were still very much intact and could quite easily be used again. The innovative scaphoid protector did its job perfectly and saved my hands from any damage

I’m using Knox Handroids at the moment and they’re really clever. I was testing them at the Ulster Grand Prix in 2010 when Dan Kneen stopped suddenly right in front of me when he accidentally hit the kill switch coming out of the hairpin. I ran into the back of him and was thrown over the top of the bike and landed hands first. The Handroids have palm sliders on them so instead of your gloves gripping the tarmac and sending your body over the top – which is when you break your scaphoids – they slide down the road. I was very sceptical initially but they actually worked perfectly. As racers, we help to develop kit for road riders and good manufacturers listen to you.

Let me start off by saying you guys rock. About a year and a half ago I bought myself a pair Know Handroids because I kept hearing good things about them. I picked up a pair and loved riding in them. They felt great, looked great, and I hoped they would protect me as well as they looked.
Last week they got put to the test. I went down going around a turn at about 105mph. I low sided because of some gravel, slid across the road, across the gravel, and flew into a ditch which then turned into a corn field. And my hands came out perfectly! Without even a scratch, bruise, burn etc. I did mess up my left knee, my back and my left thigh since they weren’t covered by something that Knox makes! Way to make one damn amazing product. I felt that I should write to you regarding the great customer service that I have just received from yourselves. I bought a pair of Handroids about 18 months ago, and have worn them for approx 15000 miles. The gloves have been great, I find them very comfortable, and glad to say that I haven’t had to try the protection out (although I am certain that it would do what it is supposed to do). Its Fantastic to see that there are still Great British companies that pride themselves with looking after their customers rather than making a fast buck. Thanks for the great products and service.

I bought the Knox Handroids almost immediately after they were officially released. After 2 years of wear and tear of almost daily commuting, I thought you guys may appreciate some feedback.
First off, I’m very happy with these gloves. Luckily I’ve never crashed in them, but I’ve seen how well they protect other crashes. My hands are essential to how I make my living, so I decided to spend top dollar protecting them. The Handroids are very comfortable, they fit perfectly and allow full range of movement and most importantly I feel safer in these gloves than I’ve ever felt wearing any other.

Hi, I was racing in the Knockhill Race club preinjection 600 race series when I, unfortunately highsided out of the race at approximately 120mph on the back straight. I was wearing Knox handroid gloves, a knox aegis back protector with Knox chest protector, and knox padded impact shorts. I am happy to report that although knocked out cold…. I had no upper or lower torso damage, due no doubt to the excellent protective qualities of the knox body armour. I am also pleased to report that I sustained no hand/digit damage thanks to the handroid gloves. It is remarkable that despite the speed and ferocity of the accident I emerged relatively unscathed thanks to my knox protection! I’ll be purchasing a new knox back protector and shorts, as I was cut out of these at the trackside, and I wont be going racing ( or when I ride on the road) without Knox protection!.

First of all they are the most comfortable gloves I’ve ever worn, and their “feedback” is excellent, and secondly, they do “exactly what it says on the tin!!”. I crashed at the end on the main straight at Knockhill while travelling at some considerable speed and continued bikeless in close proximity to tarmac and gravel for quite a distance……! On examination of myself on coming to a stop, I was gratified to note that although I had taken several hits to my Handroid gloves, there was no damage to my hands or wrists. I am also grateful to record that the aftersales service is top notch. Orra best!!!

Well what can I say about my Knox protection? As always before the ride on went the trusty back protector and my Handroid gloves! Off we go around Leicestershires roads on a Sunday morning for a blast with the boys until on the way back a notorious hairpin catches me napping for just a second and I’m picking myself out of the ditch after a 20mph off, the kit performed faultlessly and I was at work within the hour with no injuries just a dented wallet due to a smashed nosecone!

After seeing a good friend and close rival crash at croft and suffer serious hand injuries i decided to invest in some quality race gloves. After studying the market I decided on the very impressive knox handroids. During the next race meeting at cadwell park on the 2nd may shortly after taking the lead i had a big off at the gooseneck travelling around 100mph which destroyed my bike snapping the frame in half. After bowling over four or five times i came to a halt. My new knox handroids and knox back protector had done their job brilliantly and to everyones amazement i got up and walked away with out a mark on me. Big thanks to knox for another great product and i wont be racing with out my handroids on!! Thanks again.

OMG they arrived this morning…..How you guys sell these for £160 a pair and not each I don’t know. Your designers took input from real bikers, and I’m sure medical experts. Little touches like the wrist strap protection under the palm flap, the rivet/tab to help pull the glove on, to the fitting wheel “pull” quick release. I’m at my desk and I still have the gloves on, these gloves are awesome! These are not just cool looking gloves these are seriously engineered protection and should have a little union jack somewhere to show the world. Just discovered the #1 on the index finger pad, so when I raise this finger to recognise another biker or person in the street they get the No. 1 message.

On the way back home from the ride I had a mishap and went down. Luckily for me, all of the protective gear that I was wearing functioned exactly the way they are supposed to. My boots got pretty banged up, my jacket was basically torn apart, and my brand new Hadroids were mangled, especially my left glove. I only suffered some minor bumps and bruises, my left knee took the brunt of it, but my hands are absolutely fine. I know for a fact that I landed on my hands and slid. I also know that were it not for your top quality gloves protecting my hands so well, I would not be typing this letter now. I am still in complete disbelief that my hands were not injured in some way.

I was riding my Suzuki Hayabusa on the A13 in Essex when I was in collision with a London Taxi, I was catapulted into the side of the taxi due to heavy braking which caused the bike to throw me over the handlebars. I hit the Taxi doing approx 50mph, I remember the first body part to impact was my hands which I put out to protect myself, they were in turn ‘crushed’ against the car by my body, I weighed approx 95kg. I went for the Handroids as I like the BOA system and how it protects my wrists, as I have pins in my left wrist from a previous accident.

Bruised heart
I was in a coma for almost 1 month and considered a fatal accident by the police investigating until 1 week after I came out of the coma. My hands and wrists had no injury at all, I slid down the road and the scaphoid ‘savers’ did their job very well. I fully believe these gloves have saved me from very serious injury.

i just thought id share my experience with you guys. Last weekend my self and 11 mates took off for a 4 day blast through the Victorian high country. Winding over some of the planets best roads (search Jindabyne to Khancoban on google maps), everything from 200kph plus blasts to 1st gear full lock corners. The Good:
When you put on the glove for the first time you think it’s massive. The bulk of the glove gets you and you think it’s going to be one of those uncomfortable heavy, cumbersome gloves. AS SOON as the glove hits the handlebars your worries are over! The Kangaroo skin palm molds to the hand and actually INCREASES the feeling you have with the handlebars.
The bad:
* The little finger isn’t tied to the next finger like you see in the pro glove (to prevent the little finger doesn’t get snapped back).
* The actual support for each finger SHOULD be restricted when bending back so that you cant over extend your fingers.

After 1 year of soft usage, one day, celebrated and greatly-praised BOA Clouser System’s cord was teard out from holder. Not even 1 fall from bike, not even one scratch, just broke off while i was tighting it up.
Sad, very sad.
Today I’ll try to ask dealer where i bought them if there are any warranty for that case, but i don’t think miracle would happen.

Im currently racing in British Supersport alongside the British Superbike Championships and i use these exact gloves and they are the most comfortable gloves that still give you amazing feel on the handlebars and still give you maximum protection. I am now on my 4th pair of Knox Android gloves, and wouldn’t even consider changing to any other. Straight out the packet they fit extremely well, and don’t need to be “worn in” for hours like some other gloves I have had in the past. The BOA tightening wheel makes putting the gloves on/off really simply and efficient, and you can tighten them to fit perfectly around your sleeves. I have subjected the gloves I have to multiple 100mph+ crashes on the race track, and not once have I ever suffered from any cuts, grazes or broken bones in my hands. An excellent piece of motorcycle clothing!

I have been weairng Knox Handroids for the past 2 seasons in the British Superbike series. Although they always take some bedding in when new, once “Broken” in they have been the most comfortable glove i have ever raced in. They have always also not a fantastic job at protecting my hands during several crashes over the years and they always withstand the hardest of impacts and have never failed, stitching come apart or left my hands in anything but unhurt condition. The rachet adjusting system ensures a great fit and they also look super cool. Love them!

These gloves really are leaps ahead of the others. Having crashed 3 times this season in the BSB I am still using the same pair of gloves – No stitches went, no leather ripped and I never once had a hand injury… that’s crashes from 40 mph to 135 mph. I would not wear anything else.

I have been wearing Knox products for over 3 years now. I trust them with protecting me around the Isle of Man TT and Macau Grand Prix street circuits. These circuits are dangerous enough so I make sure to use the best gear possible.
I would not wear any other gloves at the TT or other street circuits. The external armor on the fingers provides better protection than anything else on the market. I actually had a broken finger from a stone kicked up by a bike in front of me at the TT 4 years ago…while wearing a lesser brands glove. Ever since then I only wear Handroids as they would’ve saved me from that simple yet frustrating injury!
The Handroids hold up over multiple crashes and protect your hands in every instance. On top of that they are comfortable from the first time you slide them on and I have found them to not need to be broken in.

Having bought a pair of winter gloves by Knox, I decided to try some summer ones and pushed out the boat for a pair of handroid.
They looked almost like a bionic extension to my arm which gave a confidence in them that I didnt feel with my old gloves. It helps I guess that they look like they will live up to the expectations I have for them. The armour on the fingers is so unobtrusive that you don’t even remember it is there when the gloves are on, and the adjustable gauntlet makes them incredibly comfortable whilst keeping the protection in place. The wrist action is totally free from obstruction and the kangaroo palm gives fantastic feedback. The small vent holes are good but I would perhaps like them to give a bit more airflow on the hotest days.
All in all, I would recommend these gloves to any rider and will buy more of the same when I need to replace them.

Really nice finish. Little bit tight in the fingers for me, thumb is a little bit long like many other brands i’ve tried. This i’ve been told is to make up for wrapping the thumb around the throttle. After a couple of rides the fingers are already breaking in pretty well. Should be perfect in a week.
Much higher protection than I’ve ever had previously. Very reassuring. Definitely would recommend for anyone after max protection.

When I first saw the handroids I fell in love with them. However because it was my first investment into a “proper” pair of gloves I went home and done some research.
I research all of the high end brands and their flagship gloves and decided I needed to try on some.
The handroids fit perfectly and the kangaroo palm allows you to feel more connected to the bike and there is no restriction from the Exo skeleton design.
I could right an endless review on how good these are but I would advise anyone looking to actually try them on and purchase them.

Ordered on a Thursday afternoon, arrived in Perth, Western Australia the following Monday with free shipping. Unbelievably quick! I ordered the medium after referring to the sizing chart and they are a bit too much on the tight side to be honest. Hopefully they’ll stretch a bit. For reference I’m usually a Large in Alpinestars and probably should’ve just stayed with that instead of the chart. Quality wise, they are unbelievably well made from what I can see. Unfortunately haven’t ridden in them yet as my bike is out of action. These gloves are a complete no brainer in my opinion, look great and they’re the safest available. Well played Knox.

These are the best gloves I’ve ever worn, period. They feel fantastic, and allow great control and movement of the hand. They offer enormous protection and they look awesome.
I just lowsided in these gloves and not only did they save me from rash/a broken wrist, they are barely scuffed up. I bet I could crash in these 10 more times before needing to replace them.
Needless to say, Handroids are the only glove I want to wear. I recommend them to everyone. You will not be disappointed with these gloves!

Just bought these gloves in black and I have to say they look superb, feel great and operate fantastic. Everything about them is first class and a big step up from my Knox Covert. I particularly like the Boa system, which really makes a very easy get on and get off glove. Of course it also offers the best protection in any glove I have seen. Im sure the accolade of “The Best Motorcycle Glove In The World” is justified. Superb!

I bought some Handroid Gloves about three years ago and they have been brilliant. Had a nasty fall recently but they worked perfectly and I suffered no injury but the gloves were slightly damaged and the aerofoils were broken. They are prettty amazing in everyway, Feel soft, conform well but there are certain pressure points that hurt your hands after too long of a ride, maybe time will soften these spots but some are just from the hardened exoskeleton like features of the gloves…I will update after these have been broken in!

But be advised. They are more of a european fit. I bought large. Before i could comfortly ride with them,i had to take extra measures to wear/stretch them a bit. Like wet them and wear while lifting weights. And also use some sort of leather conditioner. They fit perfectly now
