Sales and Production Administrator

KNOX is looking for an experienced, highly competent and accurate sales administrator to join its very busy and committed team. The role involves the accurate computer processing and shipping of daily customer orders. Working closely with operations, sales and customer services to manage and schedule production to meet customers’ orders for export, trade, and retail level. Also dealing with customer order enquiries and issues.

This person will be responsible for the efficient and accurate computer processing of a high volume of daily orders and invoices and handling enquiries that arrive from the web, email and phone.

Working closely with the Operations and Production departments to ensure daily orders are entered on the system, planned into production, processed and despatched accurately and quickly daily.

This will include organising shipping both in the UK and abroad through the nominated courier.

The role also includes answering query e-mails from customers about orders and deliveries in a professional, accurate and friendly way.

Permanent part-time role: 30-40 hrs per week.

Temporary Maternity cover but could possibly lead to a permanent position.

Salary is dependant on experience.

The Candidate should have/be:

Good Experience of Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of EXCEL as this software is used extensively to manage orders.

A very good working knowledge of Accounts software SAGE or similar systems. The candidate must be able to demonstrate competency at an interview.

  • Must have good experience as an administrator or be educated to A Level or equivalent level.
  • High level of literacy.
  • A friendly and professional manner with lots of energy.
  • Good communicator and a team player.
  • Highly organised and hard-working.
  • A high level of accuracy and the ability to problem-solve daily.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Being able to work calmly under pressure and to deadlines.
